Zambian Social Enterprise

About FOF Out Grower Foundation

Pioneering sustainable, lead-farmer driven seed multiplication and commercial crop logistics to elevate over 4,500 rural families.

Our Roots

Founded in 2016 to Solve Seed & Market Challenges

Farmers' Out Grower Foundation Limited (FOF) is a Zambian private social enterprise founded in 2016 by Mr. Sakala Whytson. Growing up in the agricultural heartland of Zambia, Mr. Whytson recognized that rural smallholders possessed immense potential, but lacked high-germinating registered seeds and reliable, fair crop purchasing channels.

What started as a modest seed distribution circle of 150 smallholder growers has grown into a robust regional network connecting over 4,500 smallholder producers across 10 strategic districts. FOF specializes in legume, peanut, and sorghum seed multiplication, in deep collaboration with leading scientists, turning subsistence operations into commercially profitable cooperatives.
